Opportunity for UK companies to export animal health products to New Zealand

• Prescription animal remedies for dairy cattle and other production animals
  (e.g.) injectable veterinary pharmaceuticals for improving reproductive performance, or treating/preventing mastitis and other key cattle ailments such as lameness 

These products will require a dossier for NZ registration as animal remedies

AgriHealth will assist with clinical trial work and working through the local regulatory processes.

• High value low volume medicated or non-medicated feed additives for production animals especially dairy cattle

Ideally products will have strong technical data and hence valid product claims around increased production, improved feed conversion efficiency, reduced acidosis, reduced methane production etc. 

Non medicated rumen modifiers may eventually displace ionophores.  Products could include probiotics, prebiotics, yeasts, exogenous enzymes, plant extracts (e.g.) tannins, saponins, essential oils

The company and product need to have previously developed export markets
